Mission:Vision

This section is dedicated to some special activities we call "Mission:Vision." The name has a bit of a double meaning. We are attempting to provide physical eyes for Christian missionary endeavors through video so westerners can see what God is doing around the world. Also our goal is to stimulate spiritual vision and challenge by making the stories known in a way that grips the soul..

This section of our web site is the one most likely to be changing and growing in the coming days. I plan to add resources of information, training, how-tos, equipment suggestions, etc. meant to help missionaries who are attempting to use video. We are also considering putting a bulletin board style forum area here for those interested in these things. I have a bit more learning to do in order to make that happen. So, this is just a start. Check back here from time to time and see what I come up with.

The Travel Journals, originally available here as downloadable MS Word files are now all in html format so you can read them in your browser. The Tech Info section has now been started and I will be adding to it from time to time.

About the relationship between Mission:Vision and DP Productions Inc.:

When we (Dan & Esther Philgreen) were on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ (where I had been working in the video department called Arrowhead Productions International) our status was "missionary." We lived off the support of a group of people and several churches who contributed monthly to our ministry. Upon leaving Campus Crusade we set up DP Productions Inc. as a for-profit Florida corporation. Most of our work is for evangelical missionary organizations. We also set up a ministry called "Mission:Vision" that  is now under the umbrella of a 501c3 charitable organization called Ripe for Harvest. Many of our supporters who helped us for years while with Campus Crusade continue to participate in our efforts to help Christian mission organizations. Their funding allows us to subsidize services to some of these missionary clients in whole or part and to spend time educating and helping the ones who are trying to get into video production on their own.

If you should happen to want to make a donation to our work, put "84" on the message line of your check, or write "84", "Mission:Vision," or "Philgreen" on the envelope and send to: Ripe for Harvest, PO Box 182184, San Diego, CA 92178-2184. You will receive a tax deductible receipt.
